LAVISHY opened its first brick and mortar boutique in Toronto Junction in 2004, where we tested our new designs, and it also served as a showroom for retailer buyers as well as the press. As LAVISHY designs have been regularly featured by Canada's No.1 fashion magazine, LOU LOU, many consumers got in touch to find out where they can buy our designs because there was no retailer close to them selling our products. LAVISHY Boutique's online store was launched (www.lavishy.biz) later that year. In 2008, LAVISHY opened our 2nd brick and mortar store in Toronto's Yonge and Eglinton neighborhood. In the same year, we moved our online store to a new and better-designed website www.lavishy.ca.

LAVISHY thinks "shop small and shop local" will benefit your local community. LAVISHY products are fun and inexpensive, so shipping costs might be a concern. For example, we don't sell rings online at all because it does not make sense to us for customers to buy a $9 ring but pay $15 for shipping. But it actually costs us more than $15 to ship a ring as it needs special packaging to ensure it does not break during transportation.

Shopping locally is fun where you can touch and feel the products in person. Also, there is a way for direct communication between shoppers and shop owners/managers. We miss our time when we had the store in Junction, and our customers brought their family and visiting friends to see us. We knew their stories, and we shared the joy of their birthdays and anniversaries. (Personally, I would never forget one of our little customers who proudly wore a birthday boy badge and shopped around in our store -- as he told me the day was not even his birthday, he could not wait to celebrate his birthday, which was two days later.)
